We have scheduled a major maintenance update to the Xi Frame backplane, which includes adding support to our backend for a pending new version of the Frame Guest Agent (FGA), formerly known as the "MF2 Service." The FGA is a key component that resides on each workload VM that manages communication with the Frame backplane. Once this backplane update is complete, we will roll out the option for customers to enable use of the new FGA, prior to pushing it out to all customers.
This update will also include the addition of an email notification option to the Frame Notification Center, 1-click SGA provisioning for high-availability configurations, and other maintenance items.
As with our regular updates, that typically roll-out weekly, this update is not expected to result in any downtime or other service impacts. The update is fully automatic, and you are not required to make any changes to your accounts.
Note that maintenance notices such as this one are reserved for major updates and any maintenance with expected downtime. Regular updates will continue on a weekly basis as usual with changes noted in our public Change Log: https://docs.frame.nutanix.com/changelog/frame-changelog.html
